I see all the open active issues in the queue. Is this a viable production capable module with D7?

I have used it in the past and it is a most excellent tool, especially for creating options when adding content fields and displaying fields conditionally. The number of installations is high as well.

Anyway, awesome module just seems a bit strange to see so many active issues with no responses.

Maybe I have missed something and there is another module that has the features of this module.

I am also wondering this.

I tried it and had problems with it making my forms not function. I'm not sure all those issues will ever get cleared up either and obviously the maintainer hasn't touched it since last year (7 months and counting) with no stable D7 release. Seems like it's been left up to the community. With all those issues, it's hard to find the time to go through all of them and implement all the patches and tweaks to try and get it to work.

As much as I want this functionality, I'm holding off for now on my complex forms, might work for some simple ones (but if they're that simple why would you need this module?).

I've used this module on a few different D7 production sites now and have had no problems with any of them.

I have had it on one site for about a year now and no complaints, except it is a very looooowwww volume site.

I have a site in mind to use it that has a large amount of traffic, and several different people are actually admin the site.

It is difficult to think this module has been so neglected. It is exceptional tool and it makes data entry by non-admin types very easy. This is very important, because when you pass off a site it can be so darn much trouble keeping it working correctly. Especially, when people that admin the site aren't very computer
literate.

The conditional aspects mean the site builder can build in and/or qualifications. As I recall, I said unlimited for some items. When site admin is adding content and the pre-set conditions are met the entry box for more data to be added doesn't show or does show dependent upon the needs for that content type.

It is like programming on the fly without coding.

Anyway, best regards to all

I've tried using it with D7 and Profile2 and it doesn't seem to work at all on Profile registration pages.

I can set up all the dependency relationships through the configuration screen
but they don't seem to have any effect.

- fill in with a value....... (doesnt work)
- make field required..... (doesnt work)

about the only thing that does work is to make fields visible/invisible based on dependencies.

The other point to keep in mind with this module is that I don't believe it overrides
server side validation. So it's usefulness is also limited in that respect.

I would recommend testing extremely thoroughly.

I have encountered many bugs, most of which can be worked around by changing config or something (like using visible instead of invisible), but test a lot before deploying to a live site.
