I am getting an error message in my status report that reads:
Error
Nivo Slider jQuery plugin Not installed
The Nivo Slider library could not be found.

I am confused because I have installed the required components {requires: Block (enabled), jQuery Update (enabled), Libraries (enabled)} and it still displays the above error message. is there something that i am missing?

Have you read the module's README.txt file? Obviously this is the very thing one should do with a new module (often the text is also made available via the GUI as Help text). It is surprising how many people do not notice there is a README.txt file with most good modules.

For some modules part or all of the README instructions are also on the project page. http://drupal.org/project/nivo_slider. Did you read and follow

Installation
1....

from that page?

I did read the info file and I installed all of the required components, I thought. I get all of the tabs to edit my slideshow yet the thing will not show up. I set it to show on the home page by typing in so i just dont know what to do at this point. I have been finding that with most drupal modules there isnt much documentation for newbies. Its frustrating.

The message is telling you that you have not installed Nivo slider library, (which is NOT available from the drupal.org website) so I found it puzzling that you specifically left this out when listing the dependencies which you said you installed in your original post. I have known people to confuse this code with the Libraries module.

Maybe it is worth having a look in sites/all/libraries and ensuring the the library you downloaded from http://nivo.dev7studios.com is not only present but has ownership and permissions which enable your webserver to use it.

I have the same problems as well. Checked ownership permissions, downloaded from http://nivo.dev7studios.com... did you find a solution???

i am having the same problem and have searched the internet for a solution but it seems there is never clear solution to this issue. I really don't know how to fix this now.

I had the same problem. I had to give all permissions to the "libraries" folder includes nivo-slider library.
