bowwowadmin commentedI think this Problem is with Firebug on a microcrap machine. it still does it with Firebug on an when I turn Firebug off it works.

I ran into this issue. I noticed that the derivatives created by Image module are named 'preview' but the images requested by Thickbox were named 'Preview' (note difference in case).
As a workaround, I manually set the 'thickbox_derivative' variable (in the {variable} table) to lowercase (s:7:"preview";) and things began working properly. I'm not sure where in the TB code the derivatives are set, so can't recommend a fix.

frjo commentedCan you not change the settings at "admin/settings/thickbox"?
What options do you get there for "Image derivative"?
bowwowadmin commentedI could not find the solution so I reinstalled Drupal.
and it works fine now.

amysteen commentedRe-opening as Im having this problem on several sites.
It just randomly doesn't work for SOME images (sits and hangs with the loading bar). At first I thought it might be a problem with filenames having spaces or weird characters, but it seems to do it on other images too.
I installed the transliteration module which didn't seem to do anything.
Does not matter which role uploads or views the image.
tmp and file directories are set to 775
If you want an example, go here: http://steenicelandichorses.com/image/tid/6
The last image just sits and hangs.
Thanks in advance <3

amysteen commentedI ended up just blowing up the image and telling the client (my mom lol!) to upload larger images. It only happens when the image is small enough that it does not need resizing. I believe it's the same issue as this: http://drupal.org/node/179855
I tried patching but I got a bunch of errors. On new sites, I am not even going to bother using the image module as it is causing me more trouble than it's worth :P

millions commentedIt's happening for me too. I thought it was the file name (original vs Original) but it works for some photos. The problem photos don't work with any derivative, (original, Original, Preview, or Thumbnail).

millions commentedanything? what size does it have to be in order to work?
