I would love to see something like the Fivestar module integrated into Drigg as one of the voting options.

mercmobily commentedHi,
It's happening.
Basically, I am rewriting simple_karma and Drigg right _now_ so that it uses the VotingAPI.This means that you will be able to use _any_ voting forms you like - not just the ones provided by simple_karma (which in a week or so will be marked obsolete).
Please stay tuned... and please please please don't use Drigg on a production site till Version 1.0 is released. It works, but for example right now I am about to change absolutely everything (splitting simple_karma into three different modules, etc.).
Bye!
Merc.

webosis commentedSounds great! Can you estimate a timeline as to when the 1.0 will be released?
If I use the current version, will I be able to update to 1.0 easily?
Thanks!

mercmobily commentedHi,
Version 1 will be released at the beginning of January -- let's say the 5th.
Upgrading from the current version should be possible. I have already written an exporter for simple_karma. However, waiting is probably a better idea.
Bye,
Merc.

mercmobily commentedHi,
I have just finished porting Drigg to VotingAPI.
I will update http://www.fsdaily.com , fix the (hopefully few) last bugs, and then release Drigg 1.0.
I made absolute sure Drigg doesn't care what voting form you use, as long as it's based on the VotingAPI.
Bye!
Merc.

mercmobily commentedHi,
OK, closing this issue since the porting is done.
I will test it today (through a busy production site) and release it formally tonight.
Please beware that other voting forms have never been tested with Drigg. I suggest you try it out with extra_voting_forms to start with.
Bye!
Merc.
