Can anyone recommend a host that has a large php max_upload limit? Dreamhost is capped at 4MB. For nontechnical users, it's such a hassle to upload a large podcast via ftp before linking to it with drupal.

I'll try this real soon.
Large Uploads
Hi,
HotDrupal has an default upload limit of 64MB, but it can be changed as needed.
Each customer has their own php.ini file, so changes can be made on an individual basis.
If you need a PHP upload limit of 250MB, or 1000MB, it's as simple as changing it in your individual php.ini file.
We can also set you up so each domain within an account has individual php.ini files if you need that level of granularity.

Hi jaku,
Please note I represent "www.DrupalValueHosting.com".
Also since that post, we have increased the PHP Max Upload limit to 750MB, highest in the entire shared hosting industry!

Thanks for the responses,
Thanks for the responses, steves :P. I'll post experiences in a couple of months.
What about modules
I think we should not only look for hosts that give us that huge PHP max RAM setting, but consider looking for (or making) a module that uses something like Perl as the serverside script to get uploads as a multipart message (I don't think this can be done in PHP at all). That seems like a more reasonable approach than just finding the machine powerful enough to handle our inefficiencies.
So is there a module that you know of that can use whatever widely available technology to provide a slimmer upload handling (one that doesn't require the entire file to hang in RAM until upload is completed)? If you know one, please share this knowledge with the community.
Thank you.
Alex.
