I want to add a field to the registration screen. Out of the box there is email, name, and email confirm. I would like to add one or more items like age or area that a person will select or fill in on the same page and then use that information to customize information in the signup process.
Has anyone done that.
Thanks,
Chris

samc commentedThis can be easily done with the Profile module.
hunmonk commentedthis is out of scope for logintoboggan's issue queue. try #drupal-support in IRC or the drupal.org forums.
good luck!

rastarr commentedI've been told in the IRC channel the core Profiles module should provide this to LT and I'm another user that doesn't seem to be able to get it to function so I'm reopening this as a possible issue with LT's interoperability with Profiles.
hunmonk commentedthe core profile module doesn't 'provide' anything to LT. LT alters the user registration form to add it's capabilities, and according to my testing it's working properly.
again, this request is out of scope for this issue queue. please find an appropriate channel to educate yourself on how to configure the profile module. if you do find a legitimate bug in LT, feel free to re-open this issue, but please include exact steps to reproduce.
socialnicheguru commentedI am using node profile not the profile module.

gausarts commentedhunmonk, I really don't get it. This is a support request for Nodeprofile as said from the very beginning, and you just kept saying it was LT stuffs and closed the status. What's wrong around here? What is not so clear about the question? I have the same question, too. Let me make myself clear:
I have created 10 to 20 fields already using CCK and nodeprofile, and I don't want them to mess my user registration with that long form. What is facilitated by nodeprofile now is an all-or-not thing.
The question is how do I add JUST one or two specific fields into the user registration form? I love this module already and I just want it to have the capabilty like the latest bio.module. Check this out:
http://drupal.org/files/issues/bio-settings-form.png
And please don't close thing that easy. Any kind help would be appreciated. Fago, please?

hunmonk commented@gausarts: you're wrong. the request was originally filed in LoginToboggan's issue queue, and remained there until it was reassigned in comment #5.
there's nothing 'wrong around here' -- my actions were appropriate given the location and nature of the request.
if you don't have any luck with this issue in the node profile issue queue, then i suggest you review my recommendations posted in comment #2.

upupax commentedI'm interesting in this too.
I would like to add a cck nodereference field in the registration form, and this cannot be done with the profile module.
Thanks in advance.

upupax commentedSorry, I have seen just now the option "Show this node profile during user registration"..
Shame on me..
