drewish commentedbecause people write the modules to scratch an itch. once it does what they need they usually leave it at that. honestly if you want documentation you can either figure it out and write something up to save everyone else after you the trouble or you could hire someone to do it.

themoebius commentedMost open source projects are created and developed in the same circumstances and most of them have at least some documentation. Really, it would take the developers 15-30 minutes to write up a few paragraphs where it would take someone not familiar with the project hours to gain that same information by looking through the source code and learning the insides of drupal.
I'm just saying more care should be taken - it would make the whole community more efficient and user friendly.
