I've got a bunch of image assist custom sized images I use. I recently added another default image size to the image module settings, which re-generated all the derivative images. It also deleted all of the img_assist_custom images in the images directory.
This is obviously undesirable, and a bunch of work to fix, especially as, if I need to add or change a default image size again I go through the same thing again.
Just to be sure that this was the behavior I was seeing, I did it again, and had the same result.
The image_name.img_assist_custom.jpg are generated when I add an image via the tiny_mce image_assist camera icon, and choose a custom size instead of one of the pre-built ones.
If it's a problem with image_assist or tiny_mce, let me know and I'll move this across.
Thanks

sunHm - I don't get the point here. If you alter the derivative sizes in Image module, all derivative images are re-generated. Image Assist automatically creates a new 'custom' derivative image if you are using a custom size in a content. If that custom size image is not available, it is automatically re-generated from the original image.
At least, that's how it should work. So, what exactly is not working?
Please also ensure that you are using compatible versions of Image Assist and Image modules, as described on Image Assist's project page.

zoo33 commentedYes, I'd say this is "by design" with regard to the Image module. As far as I know, it wipes all derivative images when you change/add one or more size(s). But, as sun says, img_assist should regenerate the custom size images automatically. [edit:] Of course, if it doesn't, please reset the status to Active.
