It seems many d.o project maintainers never find the "releases" subtab of the "edit" tab on their project nodes. This is a shame, since a lot of goodness happens on the releases subtab, and more is on the way via http://drupal.org/node/203313.
I just had a thought: we could add another maintainer-only link on the front of the project node, right under "Add new release", called something like "Administer releases".
Sure, it's a stop-gap measure until the glorious project node UI redesign actually bears fruit, but it might help in the mean time, and I don't see how it'd really hurt.
