Greetings, forumites!

I'm having a problem that is hard to debug. I have a Drupal 5.5 installation, and have added the multiping module. I've followed the instructions provided, both in the multiping module and at twingly.com on how to set it up, but multiping keeps reporting failures. Other sites I have set up are pinged successfully, so something is going wrong in the interaction between multiping and twingly.com.

Now, on to my question: these ping responses consist of error status, and a message detailing what went wrong.The multiping module only prints the error status. I browsed the source, and found a commented out call to watchdog that seemed to print this error message, but uncommenting it yielded nothing in the logs. Any advice?

You might have better luck in the support forum for the multiping module.

Alas, that forum has been dead for a month, if it ever was alive.

That's why I phrased my question like more of a general debugging issue. I assume there is a recommended way of printing debugging information in the Drupal system.

Blog platforms that support automatic pings: Wordpress, B2, Movable Type, Typepad
Twingly.com/faq -> "How do I ping automatically

Even though they don't mention Drupal in this list, I see no reason why Drupal shouldn't be able to ping Twingly. Perhaps Drupal (or the Multiping-module) is blocked and/or does not conform to Twinglys standards?
