Self contained project management and collaboration space

Project:Drupal Dojo 2.0
Component:Infrastructure
Category:feature request
Priority:minor

Description

A logical next step to this (http://drupal.org/node/206197) would be if/how we'd allow/accommodate 'multiple' dev environments or sandboxes (dojo's)? Essentially one of the thoughts we had for Dojo.org:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/2989

Matt and crew have made some good progress w/ what used to be the DojoDuju (that we used for a moment in time):
http://drupal.org/project/druplet

I 'think' this project (provided by the same good folks that are hosting the dojo) could provide a similar set of functionality:
http://drupal.org/project/autopilot

The ability to provide a dojo (self contained pms/casetracker; dev environment; collaborative workspace) for any 'qualified' group/subgroup would open the doors for a huge amount of drupal goodness.

This is really a server/backend issue and not so much the website. Moving to the infrastructure component.

This could be quite a useful feature for Phase II:

Members would be able to create a self contained project management and collaboration space
* Project Management/Casetracker system - http://drupal.org/node/202191
** potential solution - http://groups.drupal.org/node/14388
* Virtual classroom
** potential solution(s) - http://groups.drupal.org/node/12994
* Integrated chatroom - http://drupal.org/project/mibbit_irc
* Development environment - http://drupal.org/node/206197
** Drupal sandbox that comes preconfigured with several popular modules and was developed with an eye towards being able to collaborate on concepts and demos of Drupal modules in a public venue.
* A system for micro-funding, sponsorships, etc. to fund individual projects
