Before we can commit any code to start porting to D6, we need a new official 5.x-1.1 release and a DRUPAL-5 branch.

I don't have time right now to figure out if there's anything else pressing we should fix before we do that, but I wanted to at least start a task issue about it... I don't think there's a big enough list (maybe size 0) of other issues this depends on to warrant a whole g.d.o wiki about it. Let's just work it out right in here.

I looked through the queue and found the following issues that should probably be fixed:

A) http://drupal.org/node/190624

There are a few RSS and theming issues that would probably be pretty simple to fix, but they aren't necessarily bugs and are not critical.
