CVS integration

dww - September 28, 2003 - 16:44

A module that lets you track CVS commit messages. You can see it in action at http://drupal.org/cvs/. Interfaces with the project module to make releases via specific CVS branches and tags, and provides per-project source code access control.

The 4.7.x-2.* series of this module is the code that implements the new release system (in conjunction with the project.module). If you use this version, you must use one of the 4.7.x-2.* versions of the project.module as well. If you are currently using the old 4.7.0 version (from the DRUPAL-4-7 branch in CVS), you are strongly encouraged NOT to upgrade your site to the 4.7.x-2.* series (the DRUPAL-4-7--2 branch) until I've had a change to write the appropriate upgrade documenation. If you have releases on your existing 4.7.0 installation, you should stick with the 4.7.x-1.* series for now.

The "HEAD" version of this module has been ported to the 5.x version of Drupal core, and is currently installed on drupal.org. However, until the upgrade path from the 4.7.x-* versions is documented and more heavily tested and improved, there will not be an official 5.x-1.0 release to use. If you are feeling courageous and want to try out the latest code, you can use the cvslog HEAD development snapshot release.

Please read about How to help with the project* modules if you can spare any effort to support one of the key modules that powers drupal.org and all Drupal development.
