In the module description it says:
"Migration: convert regular Drupal polls into Advanced Polls."

Aside from enabling the module, was there another step needed to make existing Polls preform like Adv Poll?

Currently my Poll content type remains the same.

There should be a new link in the navigation menu, if I remember correctly under "Content", which give you the page where you convert the polls.

Might have helped if I downloaded the Dev version from Dec. Rather than working with your Sept release.
