Node Type/Content Type Specific Selectors

Hey,

I've setup a view slideshow within a panel for a front page splash of sorts. Problem is: the content teasers (none of which are edited) within the view are generated by various users of the site through different content types (audio, image galleries, blogs, events, etc.). But since none of the nodes have specific classes (such as those related to their content types, i.e. .node-audio) I can't style them to all fit within a static slideshow view very well.

Now, I obviously use a static height and width, combined with overflow:hidden. But some of the content types (nodes) require larger text or resizing of images to fill in the space.

Can I do this with a theme's tpl file? Any help would be much appreciated!
