This patch includes the changes from http://drupal.org/node/220354 and http://drupal.org/node/220328

This patch extends support for views by using the view's count query to set the $num in the menu item and implementing paging of views on taxonomy_menu pages.

This patch switches the taxonomy_menu_hide_empty setting in the UI so that the checkbox reads "Show Empty Terms" which is a little more intuitive.

This patch includes other minor UI and documentation enhancements, mostly to language strings.

This patch fixes an issue with the patch on http://drupal.org/node/220354 causing menus to regenerate and lose block-menu associations. This may need more work.

This is old and probably does not even apply to the latest version.
I will mark as won't fix to clear some things up.
