Hi,
I have created a field, which contains Month and Year. Then created a view and provided a ppage/block view, with an Argument:

Date: XYZ (date format) , Summary sorted as view, summarize by year.

After creating, this view is not summarized. See attached screenshot. All years are duplicated as many times as many posts exist with this year.

Try changing the argument from 'sorted as view' to 'sorted ascending' or 'sorted descending'. There have been numerous problems in Views when using 'sorted as view'.

Hi, using 'sorted asc/desc' works, but doesn't sort :( It sorts always ascending, descending is broken. But I think this is a different bug?

Hi, I'm got this same problem, has anyone got a fix for this? Descending does seem to not work.
I'm using Drupal 5, Date 5.x-1.8 & Views 5.x-1.6.

I'm no longer updating the 5.1 version, I'm focusing all my effort at getting version 2 to a final release ASAP so it can become the official supported version. All new features, bug fixes, etc. are going into 5.2 (for Drupal 5) and 6.2 (for Drupal 6). If you have a working installation of 5.1, wait for a final release of 5.2. If you are having problems in 5.1, try the 5.2 version and help me get it polished.
