If you're using a GMap view within a pane of Panels through Panels Tabs, the rendering of the GMap view has a weird issue. it only renders parts of the map, while the controls render fine. This is a very strange issue, and I'm not too sure what's wrong with it....

I have got it working by

- Adding just a CSS ID to the other views in the tabbed panel
- Adding just a CSS class to the gmap view's panel config

other configurations might also work...........

Using: April 10th Dev of Panels2 and Panels Tabs 5.x-1.4

I went into each of the other views and added an #idname in the style section and a .classname in the panel style section for the gmap

I was toggling with Firebug http://getfirebug.com

Did you try Panels3? Last P2 was super-buggy. P3 is out for D5
