I added some terms to the project vocabulary, "Audio", "Image", Network", "Office".
I created a project, and selected "Audio" as the category. It created the node just fine.
I then clicked the Projects link in the main menu. It lists properly the categories (terms).
I then clicked the term "Audio", and the page is empty. It did not list the project.
Next I added additional projects, to the different categories, and none is listed if I select "Browse by category", but they are all listed if I click "Browse by name".
Did I miss something? With the 1.1 version, I had no problem with that.

aclight commentedThis is kind of strange. I don't recall having similar problems using the drupal.org testing profile with the HEAD version of the project module.
Can you give us more information about your setup. Do you have the project releases module enabled? Are you using any node access control modules (eg. OG, simple access, ACL, etc.)? Have you run the database update that version 1.2 of the project module comes with? Are you able to reproduce this if you make a clean installation of Drupal, then install the project module, and do what you described above?

dwwProbably just a problem resulting from the limitations of how the project taxonomy stuff "works":
#193496: Allow project vocabulary to work as a single-tier tags vocabulary
#64610: instructions about taxonomy are confusing
