I tried adding existing taxonomy term fields to my image ads. When I did that, I lost the ability to set ads (new or existing) to custom ad groups.
I first edited an existing ad I had in an ad group prior to adding the taxonomy terms to the 'advertising' content type to flag that ad with taxonomy terms. The result was it took it out of the ad group and of course wouldn't display it in the block that it was in.
I then tried to create a new ad and sure enough, there was no menu to allocate that ad to an ad group.
So I removed those fields from the advertising content type...and things got stranger.....the ad group menu did reappear to the ad so I was able to re-flag that ad to go in a certain group and it did go back to the proper block.
BUT the taxonomy terms in the ad were still there!?!? This is after I removed them from the ad content type's CCK fields (but keep in mind that those taxonomy terms are used with other node types).
I'm not sure if this is a problem or not....I mean, it is the desired effect I was looking for but it shouldn't happen this way...I even go back to the advertisement content type and the fields are NOT there to manage.
