I am in need for a module to embed good adsense code for my website or if there is some other way i can show the adsense ads on the sidebar

There is an AdSense module. It has not yet been ported to Drupal 6. You can check the porting status of many contributed modules at the Contributed modules status page.

how does it helps me if it is not ported to drupal 6. i have to wait till whatever time it it been ported to drupal 6 ?

if it's just the sidebar, you can put it in a block.

yeah i tried doing that way but the ads are not showing up i dont knw why it was possible with earlier drupal versions but with drupal 6 it is just not showing up !!

The port to 6.x is planned, but only after the new Google code is done in 5.x.

See 211584 and the links in the comments from there.

If people test the patch and confirm it is working, things will move faster.

i understand your point but i need to know the solution for posting ads till the module is ported so what should i do

So it looks like the code is done in 5.x now and developer released.

Finally figured out a way to get it to work easily with a block. Very simple step by step instructions using a default theme listed here.
