I want to create news and announcements in my drupal site

One of the Strengths / Weaknesses in Drupal is that there are always many ways to do something.

To simply place an announcement on a node listing page such as ?q=node or ?q=taxonomy/term/1 just create a new page and set the sticky checkbox in the post options.

For things like newsletters and those types of announcements there are modules like:
SimpleNews http://drupal.org/project/simplenews
AdminMessage http://drupal.org/node/161054

Thanks for ur reply.

I have done it .
But now i want the announcements created to be displayed on my home page as a list(only title)

Whenever i click on the title , announcement must open can u help me i this case .
