I am developing a classified guide (an index of service providers), to classify hundreds of service providers
Each service provider needs to have his/her's own page, with a description of his services, link to the articles he wrote. Each service provider can belong to multiple categories.

Which is the best module to start with?

I tried to implement a service profider as a drupal user, then add fields using the 'Profile' module.

  • But how do I provide per-user taxonomy? (A user is not a node).
  • Or how to provide tagged fields?

Look at my drupal profile and see a field with a list of my Intrests:
drupal hebrew translation, uml, agile modeling, object design, php, mysql, drupal, cms, security, marketing, programming

How to create a similar tagged field on my own drupal site?

Please help

Thanks

Amnon

Agree..that directory module has the makings of a seirously useful module.

Let me know if I can be of any help with testing/other..just tried it with 4.6. works perfectly...doesn't work with 4.5. (db_escape_string() error..muist be a function it's trying to call that is specific to 4.6)

Anyway, best of luck...
