This is a portion of the ongoing reorganization of the Drupal.org handbook.
The purpose of this section is to not just list resources but to also explain best practices when looking for help and the general community dos and don'ts. The idea behind having this section in the same handbook as all of the contributor info is to expose people to contributing as soon as possible and to make clear that contributing is actually is a great way to get help yourself.

add1sun commentedThis should incorporate the existing support stuff that is in the current About Drupal handbook.

add1sun commentedHere is the existing support section: http://drupal.org/node/22964 but that section should stay under the About handbook and have a link to this page.
This page needs to talk about how getting involved will help with support issues, as well pointing out resources like forums and such. Basically point them to Talk to the community: http://drupal.org/node/240218
This one really needs to be carefully written to be used as a portal to community engagement.

add1sun commentedAs I think about this more, I'm tempted to not include this in the getting Involved book and instead rewrite the existing Support landing page to go into more detail about hoe getting involved will help with support and then linking to the various important areas of the Getting Involved book.
I'm torn on this section.

Wolfflow commented-1 I think that this is not needed yet , there are already many ways to get help and we all already work to get links to "About Documentation Team" every where.

add1sun commentedI'm going to with not adding this. The support page itself is getting a makeover right now and I think we should just use the existing places to point people to ways they can help themselves in the handbook.
