The lack of PNG support for IE really causes problems. I don't use IE as a rule, but many still do.
Please apply a transparency work-around for IE browsers.
Thanks.

quicksketchI don't think it's the responsibility of Fivestar to provide a png fix. Some Fivestar sets use alpha transparency, some don't. It was up to designer of the set to decide whether or not to use alpha transparency.
That said, I'm not opposed to making the stars more compatible if possible. In the new version of Fivestar (what will become 1.12), we now support a color picker that let's you choose (among other things) a matte color so that you don't need to use alpha transparency. However, since I don't have the source files for the sets of stars we have already, I don't think I'll be able to convert them easily to use the color picker.
