What is the best way to translate taxonomy terms? The only way I can find is through Administer › Site building › Translate interface, but this is not the nicest interface if you have a lot of terms to translate into a lot of languages. Is this the way I'm supposed to do it?
I'm only referring to D6, haven't used D5 i18n.
Thanks.

jose reyero commentedThat is currently the best way. You can also export the .po file, translate using other tools and import again.
There may be a specific interface for taxonomy terms in next (6.x) releases, I don't think I'll have the time to do it for this first one.

fletchgqc commentedOK, thanks.

meruthecat commentedI have done this; the strings show as translated. But my translated terms do not show up anywhere.

jose reyero commentedSee the (updated) handbook pages.
Check that you have 'Taxonomy translation' module enabled and your vocabulary settings.
You should see the translations when switching page language not for admin pages though)
