Description
I've installed 5.x.2 to deal with the date regressing for dates prior to 1970.
The update process is taking a very long time - seems to get stuck at 50%. I've restarted the process with the same result.
I'm using Drupal 5.7

I eventually interrupt the update process. I always have a warning in the admin section regarding the out of date database schema. In the update options version selector for the date module I have the option to update to 5203 (and a list of possible updates ranging from 1 to 7, from 5100 to 5104, and from 5200 to 5203).
I'm not sure how to proceed from here to perform the update. Would it be possible to obtain the update query and execute it directly with phpMyAdmin?

I got rid of the update that was causing all the problems. It was just to be sure data was cleaned up and probably wouldn't have affected many people, but it ended up looking like the update caused more problems than it fixed. You should be able to finish the update now with no trouble (nothing happens on that update.
