I will try to explain as best as I can .

I have installed ACL 5.x-1.6 and Forum Access 5.x.1.10 and Forum 5.7

I created a container in the forum called "Secret Area" changed the permission to only Administrator to view , post, edit and delete
Then added a child forum under that called "Product Research" changed the permissions to the same as the parent container only Administrator to access any content.
So then I posted into that forum and once submitted the block that has "New Forum topics" lists my new post even as anonymous in another browser , which is wrong .

I have found to correct this is to edit the forum again, I change no setting at all , just hit submit and then the forum post disappears from view of the anonymous user having the correct permissions set.

Seems like the creation process is not setting the permissions on the node, but re saving the parent forum sets the permission correctly .

If I again post to the same forum the same thing occurs and the same process fixes it , I think this is odd but I dont know what to do to fix it .

Please follow the directions that were displayed when you created this issue and post the node_access list of a new forum post before and after re-saving the parent form.

I am also having a similar problem. I have created a role called officers. I have created a forum with permissions for officers only. If I put up a block with the most recent post all users can see the posts. Also if you type http://example.com/user/6/track any user can see all of the officers posting for that user. Node searches will bring up officers forum posts regardless of permissions.

EDIT: On user/UID/track I'm not seeing any posts at all, irrespective of forum access rights. How do you configure your site to see posts there? Also, what block are you referring to?

Thanks for the heads up. I will follow the procedures next time. The problem turned out the be the content access module overiding the the forum access. I just disabled that module and forum access appears to be working OK now. I am not really using it anyway. Sorry for the inconvenience but maybe some other nube will avoid my mistake.
