I'm wondering if anybody knows if/when it might be possible to use WMS features in the GMap module?
I noticed that there was a js that could be loaded (wms-gs-1_0_0.js) but when I go into the administration page for the module, WMS is greyed out
and says:
"Note about Drupal 5 version: Shaded out controls are controls for unfinished features that existed in the 4.7 version."
I'm running the 5.x-1.x-dev version of the module.
I'm comfortable with modifying the code to get it working (I'll accept the fact that I can't use the GUI to do it), I'm just wondering if anybody knows how hard, or indeed if it's possible, to get WMS data to show up on a Google Map created by the GMap module?

bdragon commentedThis is indeed the last unfinished feature from 4.7.
It's quite high priority at the moment, as it's a release blocker.

bdragon commentedFor reference, the original issue introducing the feature in 4.7 was http://drupal.org/node/67291.
As a possible replacement for WMS support, today I added support for GeoWebCache and wrote some pointers in the 'gmap_overlays' module that's included with gmap_addons.
It worked very well.
