restrict search to current language

I'm not sure if this is by design, or just hasn't been addressed yet, but is it possible to restrict the search results to the current language?
The site in question has a series of product pages in multiple languages. Searching for one of these product names(English) bring results from all languages. Is there any way to prevent this?
