DHTML Menu block not showing up after module install

jbigelow - April 16, 2008 - 06:14

Hi all,

I successfully installed the DHTML menu in my drupal 6.1 installation. The module is enabled, however I don't see the blocks in the site in the site building > blocks area. Am I missing a step?

Thanks,
J

if you download the last

if you download the last release, it is for drupal 6.2. Maybe this is your problem.

Same problem

I have Drupal 6.2 downloaded, and I am having the same problem seeing the DHTML Menu Module in the Blocks section.

Any ideas?

Same with Drupal 6.6

Hey there, I am also having this problem.

I have made sure to enable the blocks to be available with the Taxonomy DHTML settings page, as well as enabled the blocks themselves.

They just don't show up! But they are listed on the blocks page as enabled. Is anyone else having this probelm?

I am running Drupal 6.6, and I have tried reinstalling Taxonomy DHTML in hope that there was some probelm there.

Also, there is an issue that was filed recently about this here: http://drupal.org/node/184291

The developer took a look and marked the issue as 'by design' and suggested to read the release notes --> http://drupal.org/node/315634.

I have re-read them several times and am just not sure what I should be looking for. There must be something simple I am missing. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! I used to use this module in 5, and it was really important to the functioning of the navigation.... I would love it if I didn't have to build all these menus by hand.

quoted from the page you link to that I think are important and probably what the developer was trying to get you to recognize.

Integration with other modules not available at this time. At this time, the syndication module is not available for D6 so that code has been completely stripped out.

Ultimately, this thread is about the DHTML menu.module and not about the taxonomy_dhtml.module

Turn off Theme developer

Had the same problem. Turned off the theme developer in the Devel module, and DHTML menus showed up. Turned theme developer on, the menus go away. Turn it off, the menus appear.
