Is there way we can display a block on a certain page whose URL has a particular "string" as part of it.

For example, I want to display block "A" only on a page, which contains the string "subsiteA" ==> http://www.abc.com/subsiteA/URL1

Go to the page that lists all the blocks, click the 'configure' link next to your block and then look at the 'Page visibility settings'. Follow the on screen instructions.
