If an existing case was re-assigned to another person than the initial one, the case number goes to -1 and I can't find a way to edit the case number by editing the case.

To recreate problem: Create project (or anything, lets say 'abc') -> create case for 'abc' and assign it to a user -> reassign to another user -> case# is -1 and it no longer shows under view all 'abc' cases for that 'abc'
This case can be found under the user's cases, but not under its parent 'abc' project.

More info:

The number actually changes in this form:
From
Case# = project#-case#
to
Case# = -case#

And, the association with the parent is lost. Even if the case is edited, and a parent project is selected from droplist, the selection is not saved.

So if the parent project was XYZ and the case number was 400-1 it becomes -1. If it was 400-6 it becomes -6. The project is blank. Selecting XYZ doesn't get saved.

Due to this,, the case doesn't show under the project number 400 case list any more and the association is lost.

I'm not able to recreate your issue. I'm using version 1.3-beta1 directly from cvs

I still have the issue. Will investigate and gather more info and post back here in a week. Thanks

I'm also unable to reproduce this issue, setting to fixed. If you can reproduce this still with 5.x-1.x-dev please reopen the case.

Thanks!
