Hi. I'd like to see an option to display the footnotes as hovertips, preferably in a way that integrates comfortably with the Glossary module (ie. glossary in one colour, footnotes in another).

Unfortunately, hovertip doesn't appear to have a 6.x version yet.

We've looked at hovertips before, see: #126477: Add support for using hover tips module... not?

The idea is good, but none of the footnotes contributors at the time took it to task and the main reason was that the hovertip module outputs non-valid and non-wellformed html, so none of us wanted to use it on any of our own sites.

I will close this issue as a duplicate. That being said:

* If someone really does contribute a patch, I will accept and commit it, regardless of the quality of the hovertip module.
* If hovertip module has improved, I'll have a new look at this.
