I consulted a web developer to design a Job Posting Module for Drupal.
I require the following features:
• I want 'job seekers' to post CVs, as well as browse 'jobs' posted by 'employers.'
• 'Employers' can search through the 'job seekers' CVs.
• 'Job seekers' CVs need to be kept confidential of regular users of the site. Basically I would like another "Role" added to my site, this would be for "Employers." Using permissions I would like to give access to CVs to the "Employers" only. Therefore "CV" would need to node classification.
• I would like a feature which allows "Employers" to post jobs for a fee - so they can only post once they pay a small fee. Once the fee is paid they are registered as a "Employer" allowing them certain accesses i.e. to users CVs.
• Users should have the option whether to make their CV available for "Employers."
• In terms of storage: I would prefer only plain text and HTML – this will allow easy searching for "Employers."
Is any one else out there who wants a similar module and is willing to pay for it?
If we get enough people it may actually be financially feasible to get it developed.

Hi e-mail me the total cost through the contact form, I can't promise anything but I am willing to take a look at whether Etopian can fund some of this.

Please excuse my ignorance
I thought that a job module was a really good idea so I down loaded and installed it on my test site, I updated the patched modules and set access permissions and the like as suggested and all went smoothly.
So next step was to create a job node and this is where I’m a little confused so please excuse my ignorance, but I was expecting something like multiple fields to fill out, job title, description, salary range, contact information etc. But instead it looks just like a standard node with a title and a body.
Next I had a go at the resume and this looks no different. Have I missed something?
That is correct
Yes, this version does not have additional fields.
The reason for this was time allowed for development vs. features needed.
What it does is allow fine tuned permissions for posting jobs/resumes, as well as search capability for them.
One way to help this is to list requriements that are really needed. Another way is to get someone to sponsor the changes needed.
Please enter feature requests at the job search project page, so at least we have a record of what is needed.
