In Admin/Settings/IMCE, I edited the default profile. Deleted the thumbnail prefixes for all sizes, and added a suffix of _thumb_small, _thumb_medium and _thumb_large to the respective ones.

When I use IMCE (through Bueditor), and upload an image with the option selected to create a thumbnail, the upload just hangs (spinning upload button continues indefinitely). If I change the settings back to default, image uploads and creates a thumbnail just fine.

Tested a few more times over the next couple days since then with the same results.

But this week seems to be working fine. Unable to reproduce here again. Sorry wasn't able to provide more info on this one.
