sublinks show on front page even if set to zero in settings

Will need to try and reproduce. I am not sure if this code supports what you are tiring to do?

The question may be one of interpretation here. If I have subcategories, the next lowest level is listed on the main links page, but only as links to those categories. I think what ThePiston wants is that those don't show. But if we do that, how do people know there are subcategories? You could end up with only a category name and nothing under it.

For my sites, it works exactly the way I would prefer. If I don't want subcategories to show, I don't create them.

You could try removing the check boxes from the cat you don't want displayed on the front page.

The help text has been updated and there are options if don't want a sub catagory to show up. I am going to mark this as fixed.
