Releases for Storm

This is the first development release for the Storm installation profile.

Official point release on the Storm 6.x-2.x branch.

First bug fix release since the release of the 6.x-2.x branch of Storm.

The 2.x branch of Storm contains significant improvements since 1.x:
- Exposure of storm data to the token module
- Improvements to the views support
- More customisation for dashboard
- Better validation for settings
- Performance improvements for larger installations
- Cleanups and bug fixes

Changes since 6.x-2.0:
- Bug fixes only

Notes:
- Creating a backup is ALWAYS recommended before making any changes to your site.
- Upgrades from 1.x are supported. However, please upgrade to the latest version of 1.x (currently 1.37) before moving on to the 2.x version.
- Storm Knowledge Base has been removed between the 1.x and 2.x branches. If you use Storm Knowledge Base, you should also download and install the Storm Knowledge Base project from http://drupal.org/project/stormknowledgebase .
- Due to modules being removed between the 1.x and 2.x branches, please ensure that you fully remove your old Storm module folder before downloading the new version (do not just overwrite).
- Some functionality has changed between the 1.x and 2.x branches. You are advised to review the full list of changes for more details.

Development snapshot for the 2.x branch of Storm for Drupal 6.

This release is updated to the DRUPAL-6--2 branch on CVS every 12 hours.

This release of the Storm project contains bug fixes and some new features - in particular an extension of the auto-billing functionality.

Notes:
- The automated testing is helping to provide confidence in the stability of Storm. The tests currently check 94 assertions. However, there is still only a low coverage of tests. This is a great opportunity to help Storm development, by contributing a test to ensure that the functionality you rely on does not break with future changes.

Release 6.x-1.32 of the Storm project contains bug fixes and a change to the handling of translations.

Note that creating a backup is ALWAYS recommended before making any changes to your site.

Notes:
- This release removes the German and Spanish translations of Storm from this module's download, as these are now provided separately from http://localize.drupal.org. The existing translations have been imported there, but may still need approval from the administrator of those languages.
- The automated testing is helping to provide confidence in the stability of Storm. The tests currently check 58 assertions. However, there is still only a low coverage of tests. This would be a great opportunity to help Storm development.
- There is now a group for discussion about Storm at http://groups.drupal.org/storm.

Requires update.php to be run

A bug has been found that is introduced by this release: #663164: stormproject is an undefined function
- This can cause a PHP error if the any of the Storm Ticket / Timetracking / Expense / Note modules are being used.
- The solution is a one line change in a file for each module (see above issue), or to wait for the next release.

The success of Storm is highly dependent on input from users.

If you find Storm useful, please give something back by helping out with future versions of Storm. There is a big need for people to post patches for the ever lengthening issues queue, but if you are not a coder, suggesting better documentation and help text is also extremely helpful.

Fixes a critical bug (#617624: Problem with Storm Invoices Nodes After Upgrade to 6.x-1.25) in the last snapshot release (6.x-1.24).

This version of Storm has been tested in the development release by several users, however, unfortunately bugs may still occur. You can search through bug reports and other issues at http://drupal.org/project/issues/storm. Please report any bugs that are not listed.

Other notes:

- Some permission names have changed. Please check the permissions page as new permissions default to FALSE.
- A major change for this release was the facility for compound taxes. Even if you do not use this feature, you would be advised to recheck your taxation settings.
- A PHP warning warning: array_merge()... has been seen on running update.php whilst upgrading to this version of Storm. Do not worry about this if it appears - it does not indicate anything wrong with your update, and the warning will not show again during normal site operation.
- There is now a new setting available for Storm Timetracking, which controls whether the duration field is automatically recalculated on each node save. This defaults to automatically recalculate the value, which is different from previous behaviour.

How to help Storm development:

Release 6.x-1.23 of the Storm project contains new features and many bug fixes.

Please ensure that you delete all files from previous versions prior to installing this version. Failure to do this may result in a blank white screen being shown on all pages across your site.

Other notes:

- Some permission names have changed. Please check the permissions page as new permissions default to FALSE.
- Within Storminvoice, the location of the tcpdf library is now a setting. The default for which is now /sites/all/libraries/tcpdf. This is outside of the Storm module folder, meaning that module upgrades will no longer risk losing third party libraries, and is in common with changes happening in other Drupal modules.
- There has also been an overhaul of the Storminvoiceitems module, whose functionality is now included within the Storminvoice module. The transition for this should be handled by the update script.

This release brings the stable releases up to date with the current development release.

- Attributes now have active/deactive settings and default options.
- Addition of some documentation, README.txt, CHANGELOG.txt and INSTALL.txt.
- Several bug fixes.

After this point there will be a more formal changelog recording all commits made, and CHANGELOG.txt will be used to record these.
