In drupal 5 (with i18n) inside "Translations" block, only link for the actual language is active on front page.

In drupal 6 the front page is language independent, and all links inside "Language switcher" are active on front page.
The i18n module provides language dependent front page, but it does not inactivate the links for other languages inside "Language switcher" block.

Same problem on admin pages, but that should be a drupal core bug..
