Hey there, is it just me, is it the warm weather, maybe a lack of sleep... or is the search-function of drupal.org completely gone? :P

no search?
Lack of sleep would do it! I thought perhaps I needed to log in to see seach, but still no luck. Hope it returns soon, way to much information here to wade through without.
Try drupalsearch.org
Try using http://drupalsearch.org for you search, it is based on Google CSE and allows you to search drupal.org. Here is the discussion on this - http://drupal.org/node/272208

Hi, (first post in forums)
I also struggled with the search - partly cause i don't log in unless i need to filter modules etc..
I was wodnering about the search option as well...
It looks like it might only be available to registered users?
Anyway - mine works now and was not working before i logged in
hope that helps?
site:drupal.org/project *search terms
In Google you can use:
site:drupal.org/project *your search term*
That might yeld more specific results for modules and other projects.
Any news on what's wrong
Any news on what's wrong with the search function? It's been gone since yesterday. Before that all my searches resulted in "Page not found".
And why is there a limit of merely 20 searches per hour? Seems a bit low to me. By the way, is that limit new or have my skills recently become worse? :)
Petter
database?
I noticed that several times over the last week Drupal.org has been inaccessible due to database issues. Maybe search has been turned off to ease the load on the database?
just wild speculation, sorry.
