OK, formally at 0:00 one day ends and the next day starts.
Not so for most normal humans.
An event from 20:00 until 2:00 is considered on one day.
An afterhour from 1:00 until 3:00 in the night is considered the "previous day".
It would be nice to have a setting where we can set something like "day changes at, say, 4 in the morning".
The logical day for the event calendar display would then start and end at say 4.
All the folks that dont like this on their site can stay at iso-conform 0:00 day change :-)

geek-merlinI have already committed the same feature to the event module: #249053: Human day change
For several reasons i want to move to date module in the next months.
If someone could give me some mentoring i might start conttributing to date.

michelleI run into this a lot... Did you ever end up doing anything with this and Date? This FR is over 2 years old so I'm hoping maybe you have a solution and you just never came back to the issue. :)

geek-merlinhello michelle,
i actually did not need this for my old client site, but the concepts are there and date is no miracle for me anymore.
if there is a sponsor for this i could offer paid coding.

michelleThanks, but my site doesn't make any money so I can't afford to hire anyone.

arlinsandbulte commentedDate 7.x-1.x is unsupported.
This issue should be verified in the latest version of Date (7.x-2.x-dev) and re-opened if still valid.
Thanks

michelleI would be surprised if it wasn't still an issue but I'm not any closer to being on D7 than I was a year ago so I can't test to see for sure.
