Subscribing to a mailing list without being a user? With just an e-mail field.

Hi!

I'm using Drupal 6.2 and just have installed the Simplenews module.

I just want that every anonymous visitor can easily subscribe to a mailinglist just by entering their e-mail address.

Is it possible for visitors to subscribe to a mailinglist without registering as a Drupal user?

me too

This is something I'm interested in too. Did you ever get an answer?

Me too! This seems like it should be easy to do, but it isn't.

I'm looking for the same

I'm looking for the same option, too. I spent some time checking different modules, but I haven't found anything yet!

mailing list without account

Having to create an account could be a potential block for people wanting to sign up just for news.
Did anyone find a solution?

simple news

from the project page:
http://drupal.org/project/simplenews
Simplenews publishes and sends newsletters to lists of subscribers. Both anonymous and authenticated users can opt-in to different mailing lists. HTML email can be send by adding Mime Mail module.

Forgot to post back here, but SimpleNews worked for me.

It worked for me, but it's

It worked for me, but it's not very easy to find out how - even though it's so obvious...

Once you've installed and set up Simplemail, go to admin > site construction > blocks. There is now a block 'Newsletter' for each newsletter you created. You can add it anywhere on the site, and finetune it using the 'settings' option.
