If you look at http://drupal.org/node/769 it is an overview/history of how Drupal came into creation.

Any reason not to alias this to http://drupal.org/history ?

I assigned this to myself -- I don't currently have rights to create aliases, but if someone gives me those rights I'd gladly do it :)
