In http://drupal.org/node/260094#comment-850232 it is reported:
Creating an new po-file from glossary.pot will produce the error 'Internationalized messages should not contain the \r escape sequence'!? The po-file is created, then, but I cannot say yet if there will be errors following...
I'm assuming this is because I develop on a Windows system. Is this a problem? If so, how do I solve it?

nancydruThe problem seems to stem from translate text that is not complete on one line (such as many help texts). Is there a way this can be stripped out during extract? (Changing to feature request.)
AaronCollier commentedJust wanted to say that I tried it just now on a Mac and it definitely didn't happen for me. I can try again tomorrow on a different computer.
As I said in the other thread, I don't think it's a major problem, but one it'd be nice to get rid of.
AaronCollier commentedI tried it on a computer running Windows XP with both Firefox and IE and I didn't get any \r sequences. Not sure where it's coming from.
gábor hojtsyCould anyone else reproduce this? Is the suggestion that we should not have newlines mid-strings? What is the problem here? I have not heard about similar reports before.
nancydruI'm not suggesting that because it would affect way too many contribs. I have other modules with split lines, but this is the only one that has been reported. If it is only one stray module, don't worry about it and just close the issue.
gábor hojtsyOk, looks like this is only the one, I've never heard of this error before, and nobody else commented on here since May that they did. Closing.
