hello,

i read a lot, but i didn't manage ...

i have a menu-block + two languages + 2 nodes (content type webform)

in german the menu-link "Kontakt" should point to node 1 with the path:

de/kontakt (ideal: without the language prefix only "kontakt", but this is another topic)

in english the menu-link "Contact" should point to node 2 with the path:

en/contact

o.k. i can generate an english menu-item (only visible in the english site) and a german menu-item (only visible in the german site) with "translate menu"

but if i switch the language with the switcher-block they are not connected and the active-status doesn't change from "kontakt" to "contact".

how to do this in the right way?

thanks and greetings momper

this is a double post of http://drupal.org/node/261184

It should be possible to link them through translation just like you would any other page. It's easiest when you create the pages for the first time, but it should always be possible. Are these nodes significantly different than normal nodes?

this was the hint - i didn't acticate the translation of this content-type (it's a webform - but you are right - it's not a real special contenttype) - so i connected both nodes and now it works ...

thanks a lot and greetings momper

Had same or similar problem... (on D6!)

The same problem still seems to apply to even D6 and i18n!

I even had two contact links popping up, a German one and an English one, even though they both lead to an English (i.e. untranslated) version.

Until you find the newly released module tContact !
Have a look here:

http://drupal.org/project/tcontact

I added this link in this "old" section of drupal.org, because that's where I found someone having the problem described above. Now someone using the same search terms relating to that problem will be able to find a solution.
