Description
Once the checkbox to 'Allow comments to alter this field' is checked and you save the field settings you cannot disable it, the unchecked value is not saved. This affects all the different fields I have tested.

Please try the 5.x-1.x version.

I have confirmed this bug to be occurring in the 6.x branch.

After altering the module [1] to work with D6, this isn't an issue any more.
Seems to be fixed.
