Issue Summary

In my Drupal installation none of the Flickr blocks will display. I have applied for and entered a Flickr API and have entered multiple user ids (not a usernames) in the module's settings. I have also tried placing the various types of blocks in various locations, but nothing is displayed.

I have been testing and playing with the Flickr module for the last week or so. One thing I have noticed is that the instructions say to use your username for Flickr. This is not entirely correct and is confusing as when you go out to the Flickr site they refer to the username as to being something else entirely. All this and aliasing and name collisions will get you empty blocks and error mesages.

All instructions for the module should refer to the Flickr NSID and nothing else. You can use the idgetr.com site to get the NSID of groups and users. This should solve 80% the problems people have with setup and usage.

I had that problem for a while, but then I realized that I needed the Flicker ID number, not the username. I have tried a few user ID numbers, but the flicker module still won't display.

Same issue here. Is anyone working on the issues? Last update was 3 months ago.

#5

What issue do you have, tars16 or mine?

#6

And tars16, that's really a completely different issue, and should be brought up in a new thread...

To correct the link from Hiveminds it is actually http://idgettr.com/ But I tried it for a group's photostream and got Flickr Error #2 unknown user.

I am not impressed... I know its something simple stupid, but I an not figure this thiing out at all... I dont think its the web hosting company blcoking something, becuase I get the same trash on my development machine.

I may have gotten this to work... and it is simple stupid... very simple stupid... in the admin/settings/flickr area there is a Default UserID... that is where I have been putting in my user name. Well, it does not work there...

instead ignore that default, and put the userID in the block section instead. now it works
