Private chats are listed in the public arhive.

This is a serious privacy issue.

I just thought that I'd add that private messages are also showing up in all users' chat windows. I am running Drupal 5.10 with Chat Room 5.x-1.9.

If this is the expected behavior, maybe changing the terminology would be appropriate. For example, instead of saying "(privately to user)", it could say "(addressed to user)".

i'm not really interested in fixing bugs in the 5.x branch, but i'll help anyone who posts patches. patch anyone?

This is still an issue in 6.x-2.9 and is such a simple fix. Please see attached patch
