I've created a new field type and corresponding widget for CCK. However, these fields are not showing up in the Views->Filters options. The fields simply aren't included in the list. Custom fields I've created using the CCK interface are showing up correctly, but not the new field type I created with a module. The fields DO show up in the View->Fields select element.

There's a chance I missed something in creating the module, but I can't find any documentation on it.

Attached is the new field type module, it's essentially a text field with some extra UI built around it.

I'm not sure if this is a CCK or Views problem, but this still continues for me and has been posted about in other issues.

My issue traces back to the date field, which is actually not listed under the content area in views and is instead within the date type. -> I'm no longer having this problem

Closing old issues. None of us is using the D5 version any more, so hard to provide any support. Sorry.
