Lack of search for anonymous users on drupal.org

I've noticed recently that we don't have search for anonymous users on drupal.org.
This seems pretty backwards to me, the only kind of sites I can think of that use this are backwards-ass forums with some kind of elitist complex.

Maybe this has been talked about before, but frankly even when I'm logged in the search here is pretty rubbish at getting the results I'm after.

I think if we want to portray drupal as a strong CMS a decent example of search on the homepage would be a good idea.

Cheers,
Toby

a google search box might be implemented sometime. (At least, I thought I read that). And I find the google searches on drupal sites to work better, anyway. (At least on my sites.)

yea, I think that would definitely be a good idea (google search)

I just noticed that now I can't even search when I'm logged in.
Seriously; WTF

Try drupalsearch.org

Give http://drupalsearch.org a try. It is built on Google CSE and allows to search drupal.org with refinements.
